Sundered Heavens
Why this book?
I had heard a lot of chatter on socials about how some subscriptions were becoming repetitive and if there is one thing I want Novaflame to be is a cycle breaker! So I set out to look for a book that bordered on high fantasy to show some range and reassure our subscribers the subscription will vary greatly. Sundered Heavens is exactly what I was looking for! I found Katie on Tiktok and saw a raw video showing her journey writing it and I had a feeling. I picked it up immediately and as I read through I got that familiar feeling and I LOVE that there are four strong FMCs in such varying walks of life. I reached out to Katie and we began collaborating on ideas!

Ten Gods rule the Eonia Realm together—but a prophecy is about to change everything.
When a vision foretells the extinction of every Being on Aveesh, Asteria is thrust back into the inner workings of the Gods—an arena she wants nothing to do with. As the Gods fracture into warring factions and an unknown illness spreads through the human villages, tensions rise, and the fragile balance between humans and powerful beings teeters on the edge of collapse. Some whisper of prophecy, others of conspiracy, but one thing is certain: Aveesh stands on the precipice of chaos.
A powerful seer burdened by glimpses of the future, a queen caught between loyalty and survival, an immortal forced to reckon with the truth of her own destiny, and a goddess forced to stand as a mediator between warring immortals—all desperate to maintain balance. As Paths intertwine, their bonds and the foundations of immortality itself will be tested.
With Fate unraveling and betrayal lurking in every shadow, Asteria must decide what she’s willing to risk to protect the world… and the man who is tempting her to leave it all behind.

The Sol Crown
Why this book?
I found The Sol Crown on KU when I was looking for a Romantasy read for February’s Novaflame pick. I wanted something romantic for Valentine's day that still had a badass FMC - enter Elina! I was already enamoured with the book but when I reached the twist at the end, my head nearly fell off! I knew this would fit into Novaflame perfectly and as I was reading I could see the design for the book unfold as I read. Thankfully, when I reached out to A F O’Meara she was just as excited as me and the rest is history!

Trust is dangerous. Power is stolen. And Elina Banks is deadly.
Hidden behind the sun-lit walls of Aladria, Elina has spent years fighting as a masked and lethal assassin. But when her identity is exposed, she’s forced into the army’s brutal training program, where survival is earned one trial at a time.
Among the recruits is Stone Carlisle: an infuriating rival with ocean-eyes and secrets as dark as her own. He’s maddening. Magnetic. And the deeper Elina is pulled toward him, the more of her he unravels.
As they grow closer, so does a darker threat beyond the border. King Dagan of Dunmere is gathering an army of the Gifted—those marked by the Gods with power—and he won’t stop until Aladria falls.
Bonds will be tested, blood will be spilled, and Elina will have to decide just how far she’s willing to go to protect her kingdom, her heart, and the secrets that could unravel everything.
About the Author
A.F. O’Meara is the author of The Sol Crown, the first book in the Fractured Lights trilogy. With a love for epic fantasy, complex characters, and heart-breaking romance, she crafts stories that invite readers to escape reality and lose themselves between the pages.

To Touch A Silent Fury
Why this book?
I approached Rachel to discuss Pocket Of Lies, the first book in her Amefyre series, as I had read it and had become obsessed. However, as we spoke it became clear that the new book Rachel was about to release may fit more closely with what Novaflame was looking for and she kindly sent me an ARC. Well… I devoured it and instantly knew To Touch a Silent Fury was one of the best books I’d read and could launch Novaflame into new Realms!

She rides to claim her fate, he flies to burn it down.
As the only woman in the Moontouched Brotherhood, Tani studies on the haughty island of Eavenfold surrounded by men who see her as an ill omen at best. Her Fate Ceremony is only days away, offering five possible escapes from the storm-locked island, but each with their own consequences.
Lang, an insubordinate Crown Prince, holds the reins to one of the few true dragons left in the world. Sent to Eavenfold on a diplomatic mission by his warmongering father, he watches as the Brothers bestow a rare and unwanted Marriage Fate on Tani. Already her touch magic alarms him, but if she succeeds and marries the victor of the upcoming tournament, her power could topple empires.
They both arrive at the games. Her, to claim her Fate. Him, to destroy it by any means possible.
About the Author
R. A. Sandpiper wrote her first original story, a YA dystopian novel, at 21, which she distinctly hopes will never see the light of day.
Since then, she's written a number of romantic fantasy novels, including A Pocket of Lies and To Touch A Silent Fury, and continues to carve out a space for yearning men and resilient women.
She is a cat person and a complete nerd, who loves lychee cocktails and cheesy music, and lives in the south of England.
